Na Wahine O Ka Mana'o'i'o
Aloha and welcome to Na Wahine O Ka Mana‛o‛i‛o (The Women of Faith) hula ministry of Calvary Chapel Central Oahu. We are a ministry that worships and glorifies our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through dance. Our desire is to tell the story of God’s love, the good news of Christ’s sacrifice for our salvation, the joys and blessings of our walk of faith, and our wondrous hope of eternal life through the gift of dance.
It is a ministry of praise and worship. We were created to worship God. The scriptures tell us King David danced in praise and worship as the Ark of the Covenant was brought in during the dedication of the temple (2 Sam 6:13-15). Miriam, Aaron’s sister and all the Israelite women played tambourines and danced before the Lord after Pharaoh’s horses, chariots and horsemen went into the sea (Exodus 15:19-21). The Psalms exhort us to praise the Lord in music and dance.
“Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, His praise in the assembly of the saints. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker, let the people of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise His Name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.”
Psalm 149:1-3
Women ages 16 yrs. & over.
Practice's are on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Hula experience preferred.
