Catch the Vision
![]()
God has brought us a long way from the spring of 1990, when a handful of believers from the North Shore Christian Fellowship (NSCF) began praying about planting a church in Central Oahu. On July 15, 1990, those prayers were answered when CCCO held its first Sunday service at the Mililani YMCA. Since that time, we have met in four (4) different buildings and have grown into a healthy fellowship of believers that supports numerous missions around the world. Our founding pastor is Rick Irons, who previously served as an Assistant Pastor at NSCF for 10 years before coming to Mililani.
Calvary Chapel Central Oahu’s (CCCO) vision as a church, for our recently acquired property in Mililani Mauka, is to construct a facility where we can meet and worship in a permanent location. The goal is to be planted in the community and to deeply affect all of the Central Oahu area for Jesus Christ. We want to be able to house our children from Nursery to High School, enabling them to grow into disciples of Jesus Christ. We desire to make our fellowship a disciple making station for all ages: Seniors, Marrieds, Families, Singles, Men, Women, Youth, and Children. A place where “JESUS CAN CHANGE HEARTS!” We want to teach God’s Word from Genesis to Revelation, to all who will hear. As we mature, we will send out disciples to plant churches and to be missionaries to the outer islands and to different parts of our world. We plan to have a 60 student preschool that will reach out to the community. Additionally there are plans for a family counseling center that will also be open to women who are seeking assistance due to a crisis pregnancy.
